Astronomer Julia, suffering from progressive eye disease, learns that her twin sister has hanged herself in her basement. The official police version is suicide; the cause of the tragedy is complete loss of sight as a result of the same disease. Although the sisters had not recently maintained a relationship, Julia feels that Sara was murdered. Therefore, despite her husband's protests, the woman begins her own investigation, and she needs to get to the truth before the light finally fades in her eyes.
